What is WHOIS

When you register a domain name, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) requires your domain name registrar - Internic.ca - to submit your personal contact information to the WHOIS database.

Our WHOIS search can be used to access these records, providing information about the registrant, registrar and domain itself.

Privacy Protection

When registering a domain, your personal information is available to those with access to the WHOIS directory. Our Privacy Protection product hides your personal information in WHOIS, helping to prevent unwanted emails and telephone calls from third parties. Learn more about how Privacy Protection safeguards your identity here.

Contact

If you wish to contact a Registrant whose information is not displayed in WHOIS, you may use the online Contact form which will help you to send a message to a domain Registrant, Admin or Technical Contact while maintaining their anonymity.

Upon completing the form, your message will be forwarded to the Contact email address as provided by the Registrant. We cannot guarantee that messages will be received, read and/or responded to by the recipient.

Information Request

All requests for registrant or domain information that is not publicly available through the Internic.ca WHOIS search tool can be made to privacy@Internic.ca. All inquiries of an urgent nature should contact us directly by phone at +1-613-820-4374.
